Pornography is an important topic for educators and parents/carers to discuss with young people because of the potential effect it can have on their relationships and sexual health. Pornography has existed for centuries and may be accidentally or intentionally accessed by young people. New forms of technology and connection including mobile phones have increased the volume and accessibility of pornography.
This 2-hour workshop responds to the needs of South Australian educators who have voiced their need to engage in this conversation with students. The workshop provides an opportunity for school-based educators to learn more about the topic of pornography and how they may address it within their classroom and school community.
Note – This workshop is only available to educators who have completed a SHINE SA 2-day Teaching It Like It Is – Relationships & Sexual Health Education Course.
